Desario is an acclaimed Sacramento dreampop and shoegaze band known for a moody, atmospheric sound and chiming, dual-guitar melodies. Heavily influenced by 90s Britpop, post-punk, and Scottish guitar rock, the music is lush and intimate—sounding less like a party and more at home in a dark, cavernous club.
Blue Oaks is a Sacramento based indie rock band led by songwriter, producer Brendan Stone. Since forming in 2007, the project has continually evolved, expanding from its early folk and blues roots into a richly textured sound that blends psych rock, post-punk, dream pop, and alternative genres. The result is music that is both atmospheric and deeply personal. Equal parts grit, melody, and emotional weight.
Following the release of their self-titled album and a series of live recordings, Blue Oaks embraced a new creative direction during the pandemic, writing and producing music independently from their home studio. This period sparked the creation of Holding, a new EP set for release in 2026. The band’s recent singles “Light,” “Bloom,” and “Rose Coloured Dreams” offer a preview of the record, showcasing a broader sonic palette filled with shimmering guitars, layered production, and introspective songwriting while retaining the raw honesty that has always defined the band.
PETS
Formed in Sacramento in 2003, the duo Pets create fuzzy reverb drenched drum machine rock that evokes the noisy cool of the Jesus & Mary Chain paired with sweet male/female psych-pop vocal harmonies. On the 2025 album ‘Dig The Skull,’ Pets’ signature fuzzed out bass and reverb drenched guitar are as noisy as ever and together with the hypnotic driving repetition of the looping drum machine, echoing rhythms of tambourines and shakers and Derek and Allison’s lushly layered vocals they create a unique psyched out soundscape with their DIY punkgaze ethos on full display.
